Canon's imageRUNNER 3045, 3035, 3030, 3025 and imageRUNNER 1023 Series named Editor's Choice by Leading Independent Buyers Guide for Office Equipment

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y.,  Canon U.S.A., Inc., recently received five Editor's Choice Awards for the company's award-winning line of imageRUNNER multifunctional devices in the 2007 Better Buys for Business Mid-Volume Copier Guide. Recognized for its advanced technology, the Canon imageRUNNER Series was honored for its 3045, 3035, 3030, 3025 and 1023 Series models. The imageRUNNER 3045 also appears on the cover of the May guide. The Better Buys for Business Editor's Choice Awards recognize products that demonstrate superior attributes and performance capabilities and offer the greatest value for consumers in a given price range.

The imageRUNNER 3045/3035/3030/3025, are designed to solidify Canon's position in Segments Two, Three, and Four, delivering quality digital output at speeds of up to 45 letter-sized pages-per-minute (ppm), 35 ppm, 30 ppm and 25 ppm, respectively. These imageRUNNER multifunctional products (MFPs) are the first to use powerful new tools such as the optional Workflow Composer function that transforms time-consuming, multiple step tasks into simple workflows for each user. The devices also incorporate Canon's Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform (MEAP) for advanced customization.

Workflow Composer allows users to register a single button that encompasses all of the scanning, editing, document merging, copying and sending settings necessary for an entire task or workflow. For example, an order comes into the sales department, and paperwork is completed, copied and sent to the main office with a confirmation faxed to the customer. Using Workflow Composer, the imageRUNNER device can be programmed to scan the document, e-mail the file to accounts receivable and shipping simultaneously, fax the document for confirmation to the customer at a pre-registered destination, while archiving the order in a designated Mail Box - all from a single button on the imageRUNNER device control panel.

imageRUNNER 1023
The imageRUNNER 1023 Series consists of three models the imageRUNNER 1023iF, the imageRUNNER 1023N and the imageRUNNER 1023 all of which operate at up to 23 ppm, based on letter-sized output. Each model is designed to meet a wide variety of document creation and distribution needs and is also perfectly suited to serve as a shared or dedicated device within small businesses, workgroups, or executive suites within larger organizations.

Each model in the Series supports advanced digital copying and printing capabilities using Canon's Ultra Fast Rendering II LT (UFRII LT) technology or optional PCL 5e/6 page description languages, as well as built-in Color Scanning (TWAIN/WIA) functionality to enable users to convert hard-copy based information into electronic format. The imageRUNNER 1023 Series devices can be connected directly to a user's workstation using the standard USB 2.0 High Speed port, or leveraged as a shared network resource through a 10/100BaseTX Ethernet interface (standard with the imageRUNNER 1023iF and imageRUNNER 1023N models; option for the imageRUNNER 1023 model).
