Color Scanning Capability Enhances Productivity of Imaging Systems
West Caldwell, NJ, March 25, 2008 –
Lanier today introduced the LD425B/LD425 and LD433B/LD433 Digital Imaging Systems. Designed for small and mid-sized businesses, the LD425 and LD433 models feature color scanning capabilities to raise overall productivity and efficiency, while creating clear images in a secure environment.
The LD425/LD433 models are replacing the LD325 and the LD330. The LD425/LD433 come standard with monochrome printing, copying and color scanning capabilities out of the box in two pre-configured models – the SP and SPF (the SPF includes faxing capabilities). The LD425B and LD433B come with copying capabilities and include an upgrade path that consists of monochrome printing, scanning and faxing to allow users the flexibility to add on to their systems as their document management needs evolve over time.
The LD425B/LD425 and LD433B/LD433 help organizations increase productivity with print speeds of 25 pages per minute (ppm) and 33 ppm, respectively. In order to create professional business documents efficiently, the LD425 and LD433 models offer a 1,000-sheet booklet finisher and optional hole-punching. In addition, these models include special design features that provide ease of use for every user, such as a simplified color display, easy-access paper tray handles and animated menu guidance.
As security plays an important role in today’s business environment, the LD425B/LD425 and LD433B/LD433 give administrators the ability to restrict access to the system to only authorized users with Windows/LDAP/Kerberos Authentication. The Locked Print feature is another security function that allows users to protect confidential documents from being seen or accidentally picked up in the output tray by unauthorized parties. For organizations to meet the highest security requirements, customers can also use the DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS) to prevent the possibility of reconstructing data from "latent images" on the internal hard drive.
In order to increase organizational efficiency, the LD425 and LD433 models can store up to 3,000 frequently used documents in its Document Server, where they can be instantly accessed for reprinting, re-faxing or re-scanning. Users can also prioritize job lists by automatically moving the most critical jobs to the head of the print queue to ensure they are finished first. An additional feature that increases ease of use, these models have full-color thumbnails on the control panel that improve productivity and accuracy as users can preview images to confirm that scanned documents are captured correctly prior to distribution.
Outfitted with Web SmartDeviceMonitor, these digital imaging systems allow centralized configuration, monitoring and management of multiple connected Lanier devices. The LD425 and LD433 also include auto e-mail notification that provides a report to a designated e-mail address when the machine is not operating at optimum performance levels, maximizing uptime. In addition, the @Remote Intelligent Management System saves administrators time as it automatically places a detailed request for service when needed, eliminating the need for users to initiate service calls, which reduces the total cost of ownership.
The LD425B/SP/SPF are available at the suggested retail prices of $5,085/$7,035/$8,130 and the LD433B/SP/SPF at $6,435/$8,385 and $9,480 respectively.
