Fisher's Revamps Sales Force

BOISE, ID DEC. 19, 2006 As Fishers Document Systems moves from a traditional box sales approach to one based on document management consultation, the company has restructured its sales force accordingly. In the process, Fishers has added four new individuals to its sales team.

Heading this team as Sales Manager is Chris Dunn. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration, Chris brings with him a six-year background in document management, including legal document systems, as well as an expertise in facilities management and account management. In addition to coordinating the efforts of his sales team, Dunn will focus on helping Fishers clients develop outsourcing strategies for document production and distribution.

Joining the Fishers sales team as account representatives are Joe Critchfield, Laura Payton and Brian Crawford. Formerly the director of sales for Extreme Media in Boise, Joe Critchfields technology sales background includes voice-over-IP (VoIP) systems. Having spent three years waking Boise to the sound of her voice, Laura Payton is a former morning radio personality and stand up comedian who will now apply her people skills to delighting Fishers current customers as well as attracting new ones. Brian Crawford comes to Boise from Anchorage, Alaska, where he spent ten years in the document management field.

With the advent of new technologies embodied in todays multi-function printers, Fishers business model has changed rapidly from transaction-based to consultative and solutions-based sales. The company has been building its sales, service and IT infrastructure to address this transition.

The profile for the Fishers sales person today is very different from that of the old-school copier salesman, says Chris Taylor, Fishers CEO. The profile is more low-key, very intelligent, solutions-focused and able to communicate with CIO-level decision makers.
