BOISE, ID - DEC. 28, 2006 - Fisher's Document Systems has hired J.T. Jones as the company's new CFO. A University of Idaho graduate with Bachelor of Science degrees in both accounting and finance, Jones was previously the staff certified public accountant (CPA) for Boise-based Travis Jeffries, P.A., where he conducted business valuations of closely held entities, performed outside audits of corporate and government financial statements and provided corporate tax services.

In the 1970s, Mahn and Kevin Learned founded Learned Mahn which eventually went on to become one of Idaho's first software companies that developed a line of accounting software.

It has been 70 years since Fisher's first started supplying the office needs of Treasure Valley businesses. In that time the Treasure Valley has changed dramatically -- and so has our company. Today, Fisher's Office Supplies is now Fisher's Document Systems. We have a new vision, a new business model and a new management team. But our dedication to serving the Treasure Valley business community remains unchanged.

BOISE, ID DEC. 15, 2006 Fishers Document Systems has hired Chris Dunn as Sales Manager. Dunns career in document management began in 2000 and includes experience in legal document systems, facilities management and account management. He is a graduate of University of Central Florida, where he earned a degree in Business Administration.

If you've been a part of Idaho's business community for very long, chances are you've heard of Gary Mahn. You might remember him as the owner of one of downtown Boise's retail icons, Fisher's Office Supplies. Or you may remember him as the former head of Idaho's Department of Commerce. And if you go back far enough, you'll recall that Gary was one of the founders of Idaho's first software company, Learned Mahn. In recognition of Fisher's 70th anniversary we sat down with Gary to get his reflections on his business career and his thoughts on the current Treasure Valley business scene.
