My Favorite Places
Main / Open Mic / Teresa Jorgensen's Blog

Continuing in my mini series, today I thought I would share some of my favorite places.

Retail space generally offers a wider variety of styles and different levels of opulence. I have to admit that one of my favorites continues to be High Desert Harley (www.highdeserthd.com). Petra Inc. (www.petrainc.net) did a beautiful job on that facility and on the marketplace as it is being developed out. Speaking of Petra, Inc., I have to admit I also really like their offices. I know they won several awards for the building, but it is just cool.

Another favorite office building of mine is the Tapestry Solutions (www.tapestrysolutions.com) building. It is in a great location, and the reflecting pools, and airy spaces are very appealing and relaxing.

Impressive industrial facilities on my list include Boise Rigging (www.boiserigging.com), and Distinctive Millworks & Specialties (site to be released soon). Over at Boise Rigging, Scott Black did an outstanding job creating a facility that serves his staff and business well, but also showcases their work. It is beautiful. Distinctive Millworks has a super cool spray booth, but as equally impressive is the growth that drove the need to move in to their nice, very large facilities.

Because you need quite a bit of space to build something that is 68’ long and weighs 289,000 lbs, and requires railroad tracks spread across acres, and acres of land, to move your products, the MotivePower (www.motivepower-wabtec.com) sites make my list. Not only is it impressive to build diesel-electric locomotives, the team out there is very friendly and proud of the job they do. I thought of my grandfather as I walked around. I am sure he would have loved the organization of the tools and the men and women who contribute to the success out there. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been able to tour the facilities.

Until next time, thanks again to all who share their professional and business goals and strategies with me, and may each of you have continues success!

It would be beneficial if you provided follow-up calls more regularly. You are a favorite, and more time and personal touch would is what closed the deal. Look forward to additional business opportunities.
