Canon U.S.A. Receives Four 'Pick Of The Year' Awards From Buyers Laboratory Inc.

Canon Monochrome Product Line Chosen as Most Outstanding for 2006

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., April 13, 2007 Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of digital imaging solutions, recently received four Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI) "Pick of the Year" Awards for Most Outstanding Monochrome MFP Product Line of 2006, Outstanding Segment 6 Monochrome MFP, and two awards for Outstanding Segment 3 Monochrome MFP.

Twice a year, BLI, a leading independent office equipment test lab, rewards those products that have provided the most outstanding performances in BLI's exhaustive lab tests with "Pick of the Year" awards. BLI's awards are based on a rigorous battery of lab tests that take approximately two months to complete and include an extensive durability test during which each unit is run at the manufacturer's maximum recommended monthly volume.

Canon's monochrome MFPs received the Line of the Year award for "Most Outstanding Monochrome MFP Product Line of 2006", which recognizes the strength of Canon's remarkably consistent monochrome imageRUNNER product line. Canon receives the award this year after having been named BLI's "Line of the Year" recipient five of the last six years. "Canon was the clear choice for us this year because not only does it have BLI 'Pick of the Year' award winners in every segment, but it also has more 'Highly Recommended' models than any other qualifying vendor,"said Peter Emory, BLI Lab Manager.

The Canon imageRUNNER 7095 received the BLI segment Six Monochrome MFP "Pick of the Year" award for its performance in areas such as reliability, multitasking, administrative utilities, scan functions and ease of use. During BLI's two-month, 900,000-impression durability test, the imageRUNNER 7095 required only one service call, which was simply for preventative maintenance.

Both the Canon imageRUNNER 3570 and 3530 have earned the BLI Fall 2006 "Pick of the Year" award for Outstanding Segment 3 Monochrome MFP.
