Lanier Introduces Two Cost-Effective Digital Mfps For High-Quality Color And Monochrome Output
Main / News

LD425c and LD430c systems offer copy, print, scan, fax capabilities

Atlanta , Ga. , July 21, 2006 --- Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today announced the launch of the Lanier LD425c/430c, two productive digital multifunction products (MFPs) that offer color and monochrome copying and printing, color and monochrome scanning, as well as optional faxing and professional finishing. The systems will be available immediately.

Affordable color output is a primary need in just about every corner of the business world, said Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of Marketing for Lanier. The LD425c/430c systems are specifically designed to meet this need. They cost-effectively extend full-color multifunction capabilities to everyone in a workgroup, and they deliver outstanding results.

The LD425c/430c MFPs deliver up to 25 or 30 copies or prints per minute, whether users need full-color or monochrome output, or a mix of both.

Because the output speed stays the same, productivity remains high no matter what kind of documents end-users need to copy or print, Pontrelli said. With these two systems, office users can take advantage of color output without diverting jobs to slower, more costly inkjet and laser printers. Organizations can also keep more color jobs in-house and reduce the tendency to outsource these jobs to expensive, inconvenient print-for-pay shops.

The LD425c/430c systems use a unique chemical toner formulation PXP Polymerized Toner that provides high-quality output for color images in reports, presentations, plans, and other documents. The 600 x 600 dpi color engine can effectively print images with up to an equivalent of 2,400 x 600 dpi.

All end-users from those who need business color to those who print full-color graphic documents can easily create color output with the LD425c/430c systems, Pontrelli said.

Paper trays in the LD425c/430c systems can handle up to 120-pound index stock, while the bypass accepts up to 140-pound index paper and 12" x 18" paper for full-bleed 11" x 17" output. Finishing options include a 1,000-sheet booklet finisher with saddle stitch stapling and hole punching, as well as a 1,000-sheet or 500-sheet finisher with stapling. Scanning features include scan-to-URL, scan-to-folder, scan-to-FTP, and scan-to-email. As part of the standard configuration, end-users can also select high compression scanning to reduce file size, or use encrypted PDF transmission to help prevent unauthorized intercept.
