There is literally a mountain of information that our HR departments deal with on a given day.

Remember when you got your first job? You filled out an application, did a bit of tax paperwork, and off you went. That’s really no longer the case. There is literally a mountain of information that our HR departments deal with on a given day. Healthcare renewals, documentation to insure that we are legal to work in the states, federal and state documents, and the list goes on.

It’s not uncommon for the Human Resources department to be one of the first departments we visit when we start studying a company. On top of the historical paperwork, other documents are constantly being added to the file. You have changes in benefits, employee evaluations, pay change forms, vacation requests, etc.

The Human Resources Department is usually a lean department in regards to personnel. This is one of the reasons that EDM makes so much sense for them. The risk associated with not having your paperwork in order can be costly.
