Lanier Launches Mid-Volume, Monochrome Network Laser Printer with High-End Document Security and Finishing
Main / News

LP145n produces 45 pages per minute for workgroups and host printing

Atlanta, Ga., September 11, 2006 --- Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today launched the Lanier LP145n, a monochrome network laser printer that produces up to 45 pages per minute at 600 dpi for mid-volume applications, including workgroups and host printing environments. The LP145n printer will be available immediately.

"This versatile network printer delivers an ideal combination of speed and efficiency for mid-volume workgroups and host printing," said Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of Marketing for Lanier. "It provides reliable, high-quality laser printing with many of the capabilities end-users would expect from a high-end multifunction system, such as document security and professional finishing. The LP145n also has an open architecture that makes it easy to add features for remote management, document security, user tracking, and specialized printing."

Printing features include standard duplexing at 100% of the rated speed, a total paper capacity of 3,550 sheets (with all trays and options) and standard Ethernet and USB 2.0. Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 1284, and IEEE 802.11b.

"The finisher for this printer far exceeds conventional expectations for a mid-volume printer," Pontrelli said. "Office users and host print managers can produce finished documents completely inline, with no manual intervention."

Specifically, the optional 3,000-sheet finisher staples up to 50 sheets in one of four positions and comes with 2/3 hole punching.

Optional document security features include 128-bit print data encryption, a masking feature that renders documents illegible if copied on a similarly enabled device, a virtual electronic mailbox, and the DataOverwriteSecurity System.
