Getting to know business people in my territory

After a month in the biz, it is exciting to report that I have encountered many wonderful people. I have been trying to get out and cover my territory, but it is a challenge. This area continues to grow, and with such a shake up in the industry (Xerox acquisition of Global), there is a ton of activity. However, as I have been getting out in to the community, I have met many interesting community members, and have been getting a feel for their challenges and abilities. Here is just a small sample:

Lisa Zeiter is an incredibly dymanic, savvy business person who is running the Garden City Library on a shoestring budget. The programs she is endorsing and the innovative methods she is taking to ensure a wonderful experience for her patrons creates an excitement that is contagious.

If you are interested in someone who is managing an almost fanatical customer base, Steve Branch at High Desert Harley Davidson/Buell is your man. Not only is he a seasoned, intelligent businessman, but he is a delight to talk with. Further, if you ever want to set your standards on how a showroom floor should look, go in to his shop. The staff there is very deligent about maintaining a clean, friendly environment.

Then there is Louise Bertagnolli. She is the CEO of JST Manufacturing. Talk about a legacy! I'm not sure, but I think JST is the last American manufacturer of semiconductor equipment. What a legacy to be carrying.....

This is just a sample of the interesting and exciting people I have met over the past month. I am really looking forward to continuing to get out there and meet many, many more...

As Jake Stephens, another account executive here at Fisher's says, "I love my job!"
